U3A     There are now in the U.K. approx. 500 groups and a total membership of over 150,000. University Of The Third Age---KEIGHLEY Branch.....

U.3.A

The whole concept of U.3.A. is that members with life skills pass on their knowledge and engage the interest of others in continuing to learn and expand their horizons and this was too good to keep to just a few enthusiasts, and so posters went up in libraries, advertisements appeared in local papers and friends were enlisted. As a result our Start-Up Meeting attracted quite a few Members. The Branch has grown from strength to strength and now has 120 Members. We are still looking for a permanent home and are currently in the middle of negotiations.
